    Donald Coleman
    Associate Pastor

    Elder Donald Coleman was born in Steubenville Ohio and was saved in 1968 during a revival conducted by Elder Small in Belair Ohio. After being saved, Pastor Coleman joined the Shiloh Apostolic Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio.

    Pastor Coleman joined the Air force in 1970 and toured Europe, the Middle East and Asia and was reassigned to Carswell AFB where he retired in June of 1990. He joined The Chosen Vessel Cathedral in 1989, which was then known as The New Life Christian Church. Elder Coleman is a gifted teacher and preacher and has an unwavering dedication to serve others. He served as Minister over the Men’s ministry and as the Sunday school Teacher for the Adult class in 1990.

    Pastor Coleman was appointed as an assistant Pastor by the Senior Pastor, Honorable Bishop Richard E. Young, in 2006. He serves as Pastor over the Senior citizens, Nurses and Greeters ministries. He is currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts at the Tarrant County Community College.

    Pastor Coleman is employed with Countrywide Home Mortgage Co. as a Rep assisting home owners in keeping their homes. He has been married to his wife Zita for nearly seven years. He enjoys reading, going to the movies and traveling. He desires not to live a wasteful life, to become a published writer and to glorify God through his gifts and talents.

    Jon Robert Hatcher
    Lead Associate Pastor

    Elder Jon Robert Hatcher is the Lead Associate Pastor of The Chosen Vessel Cathedral. He is responsible for the oversight of various ministries to include: The Ministerial Alliance, which is responsible for the training and development of the Ministers of TCVC; The Family Life Ministry; A.C.T.S., which is the New Members Ministry; and The Usher Ministry. He joined the Chosen Vessel in 1998. Prior to joining TCVC, Pastor Hatcher was the Assistant Pastor of Christ Tabernacle Church in Wichita Falls, TX where he served in various capacities such as: President of the Young People’s Love Joy Band, Sunday School teacher for both youth and adult, Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Choir Director and Deacon. He is the husband of Valerie and the father of Jon II.

    Charles E. Rainbow
    Associate Pastor

    Pastor Charles Rainbow, native of Martins Ferry, OH, received the new birth experience in 1967 at the age of fifteen. He later answered the sacred call into ministry in 1975 during his senior year at Bowling Green University in Ohio.

    Pastor Rainbow was a dedicated member of Zion Temple in Steubenville, OH, for many years and served as Youth Director and Minister of Music under the mentorship of the Honorable Bishop Richard E. Young. Later, he made the choice to move to Fort Worth, TX, in 1986 to continue under Bishop Young’s leadership, now Sr. Pastor at The Chosen Vessel Cathedral. He has served faithfully under Bishop Young for more than 25 years.

    Currently, Pastor Rainbow is a Trustee and Associate Pastor over the Men’s and the Crisis Outreach Counseling Ministries at The Chosen Vessel Cathedral. He continues to demonstrate his outstanding skills as an innovative teacher and class room orator by winning many souls every Sunday morning during the New Members class, teaching the New Birth Experience. Most know Pastor Rainbow to be well versed in the scriptures and extremely knowledgeable of biblical principles and teachings.

    Pastor Rainbow has been happily married to Debra Elaine Pitts for over 30 years and has two lovely daughters, Kristian and Dawn, and one beautiful granddaughter, Jasmin.

    Patricia Smith
    Associate Pastor

    Evangelist Patricia Smith has been a part of The Chosen Vessel Cathedral family since 2004, under the leadership of the honorable Bishop Richard E. Young. She is one of the Associate Pastors of the ministry and serves as Administrative Assistant to Bishop Richard E. Young. God has anointed her to touch lives through a unique and powerful message of the gospel.

    Pastor Smith accepted her call to the ministry in 1977 and as God empowered her through the preaching of the word, she has ministered on other platforms such as Radio (KNON 95.3 FM) for over 9 years.

    As native of Fort Worth, spiritual maturation became more visible as she began ministering in churches throughout the city. Soon, it was obvious to most that a higher call was on her life and doors in other states opened.

    In addition, Pastor Smith is the founder of a personal ministry “Vision of Hope Ministries.” Through this ministry, she ministers to the lost, supports other ministries through intercessory prayer, provides licensed counseling, healing to the hurting and contributes in ‘Kingdom population’ growth.

    In the ministry, she frequently has speaking engagements such as Revivals, Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, Retreats, Counseling for Adults, Youth and more. Through prayer and fasting, the Lord continues to anoint and empower her to bring a kingdom message of deliverance and hope.

    To all these things, she “count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord,...and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ (Phil 3:8)."

    Paulette Smith
    Associate Pastor

    Pastor Paulette Smith is an anointed evangelist, preacher and teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and a graduate of Texas Women’s University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She is employed as a licensed Social Worker for Tarrant County Human Services.

  • She currently serves as an Associate Pastor and Trustee at The Chosen Vessel Cathedral where she has been a faithful member since 1978. Her pastor and mentor in the gospel is the honorable Bishop Richard E. Young, Senior Pastor. Pastor Paulette accepted the call into the ministry in 1979 and has been asked to speak at numerous conferences throughout her community and the United States.
  • She is pastor over the, That I May Know Him (TIMKH) Outreach and Sanctified Workers Anointed Together (SWAT) Team Ministries where she leads a team of sanctified believers into the community to knock on doors, feed the homeless, organizes food drives for the elderly and toy drives during the Christmas holidays.
  • Pastor Paulette has ministered to thousands of prison inmates and young juvenile offenders who are incarcerated. She is a certified crisis counselor and is director over the TCVC Crisis Outreach ministry.
  • She is pastor over the TCVC Performing Arts Ministry and has written and directed numerous plays. She is co author of “The Soul Winners Guide to the New Birth Experience”.
  • Last of all and most importantly, Pastor Paulette has the will to serve and has an undying passion for souls. She has labored through numerous altar calls, baptismal and receiving rooms and has experienced the power of God to transform lives from broken hearted sinners to born again believers.

  • Perry Ward
    Associate Pastor

    Elder Perry Ward is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. As a member of the United States Navy he retired with over 22 years of service. He is a graduate of Columbia College of Missouri where he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

    While attending the First United Pentecostal Church in Jacksonville, FL he was baptized in the Name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    After receiving his call to the ministry he was transferred to Norfolk, Virginia where he received his ministerial license. While there he served as both the Youth Pastor and Assistant to the Pastor for the United Pentecostal Church of Norfolk. He also served as the Virginia District UPCI Junior Bible Quizzing Coordinator.

    Upon joining the Chosen Vessel in 2003 he and his family quickly became involved with the many ministries of the Chosen Vessel.

    Elder Ward is currently serving as the Associate Pastor of the Youth Department and Chosen Vessel Security Team. His areas of service also include the Performing Arts ministry, and the A.C.T.S ministry. He is the husband of Faye and the father of Gabrielle and Alexis.
